Hello, you've probably stumbled upon this button while reviewing an item from Giveaway & Takeaway. This page will be held to explain the responsibilities that align with the Terms and Conditions along with just the general safety of you as an individual viewing this site and the NextDoor application.
NDFLD does not represent the individuals on NextDoor, the Staff, or anyone other than ourselves. Nor do we provide any demeaning remarks to individuals using either website in regards to their hospitality. Although, there are plenty of things to watch out for when roaming into territories and places that have not been personally visited to from previous experiences.
Here are some helpful tips on keeping yourself safe when traveling to other locations to pick up items, or otherwise having them delivered to you:
Take a buddy, roaming alone to unknown lands can be dangerous if no one can come to your aid
Inform trusted individuals of your movement to this unknown location, and your expected time to leave from there to have someone keep tabs of where you've gone
Ensure that your personal mobile device is fully charged and ready to call for emergency services in the event that an unknown scenario occurs that requires immediate assistance
If you are in danger, contact 911, NDFLD is unable to assist in Emergency Situations
Inquire more about the product/objects with the seller to engage the validity of it
If a full name is visible for the individual, check Criminal or Other Records for the area just in case
You never know if you happen to be traveling in a forest and happen to meet up with Jason on a Friday that happens to be on the 13th day
Fill up on gas, don't want to make the good trip, and go back home with only fumes in the tank
Use your phone, or a proper, GPS to navigate that way it doesn't take longer to run around to find one place
If you feel unsafe, get the item later, or forget about it, your life isn't replaceable
